Inlay and onlay fillings can be made with two materials. These are composite and ceramic. Composite inlays are used less and less. Since the long-term success of the ceramic material is higher, it is widely used.

Inlay and onlay fillings are fillings with superior aesthetics and durability prepared in the laboratory. In teeth that require large fillings, ceramic inlays and onlays can be applied instead of composite or amalgam fillings due to their aesthetics and durability.

Ceramic fillings;

• Are far superior to standard fillings,
• Are more aesthetic,
• Are inseparable from the tooth in the long term.
• Do not wear at all and remain dimensionally stable compared to fillings,
• The contact of the teeth with each other is much more successful,
• Since the part between the teeth is polished and glued, there is no problem of food sticking,
• Do not cause cracks or fractures in teeth,
• Do not encounter problems such as discolouration over the years,
• Are made in the colour of real teeth, so there are more colour alternatives than fillings,
• Are increasingly being used because they are the closest material to natural teeth.
• Do not cause any caries under the ceramic filling. Especially if antibacterial materials are used as adhesives, the risk of caries is eliminated.
